HI, I’M CLARE!

Lover of deep conversation & wine (not a bad combo) with an appreciation for interior design, an itch for adventure and travel and a fierce champion of women!

I grew in Dorset as a slightly over achieving, awkward tomboy who never felt like I quite fitted in and spent much of my time climbing trees, riding ponies, running long distances or locked in an art room avoiding playground politics!

Despite my creative tendencies I studied Business at University before being drawn by the fast and furious lifestyle of a Sales career in London, which lasted 13 years. I eventually returned to my ‘knowing’ that my happiest place is somewhere I can be artistic and expressive, and where others can benefit from both my creativity and leadership, and as a self- taught photographer in 2015 I launched Clare Jones Photography!

Since then, I’ve had 3 children and we’ve slowly made our way out of London on our quest to find that elusive work life balance, and have settled into the beautiful Hampshire countryside surrounded by the Surrey Hills and South Downs.

Having spent much of my career in sales, I learned that regardless of what you’re selling, first and foremost, people will buy from people they like. So the first thing to learn to sell, is yourself!

Not an easy task - given that I, like many, don’t find promoting myself, or tooting my horn or blowing my own trumpet, an easy thing to do! It requires introspect, self awareness and a whole lot of self belief!

Showing up as the expert in your field is so important in establishing trust with your clients, but communicating your unique offerings and how your services or products align with their needs and is much easier done when the story of your Brand is told through captivating images.

With just under a decade spent helping Creatives, Interior designers, Commercial and Bespoke businesses showcase their work, whether for their portfolio, a launch or as part of a collection of lifestyle images to build their Brand, I have been part of some incredible projects. It is always such an honour to be invited into the heart of someone else’s world and to have the responsibility of capturing their talents, skills and lifes’ work on camera.

I love to take my time exploring my clients vision for their business, to be able to truly envelope their values into my work and creatively collaborate to offer a curated collection of expressive and complementary images . Clients frequently return to me for my ability to lead them from concept idea, through to delivery of their images, in a way that makes them feel empowered to move forward with pride and confidence.
